How To Use The Law Of Attraction – 5 Quick Tips
*Revised from “Law of Attraction – 10 Quick Tips”
In this post, I will be giving you 5 quick tips on the law of attraction and how you can move towards your goals faster and more effectively.
So just to give an overview to those who aren’t familiar with the law of attraction, it is a natural law, meaning it is always working in the background of your life.
For example if you pick up a pencil and let go of it, you know for sure it will fall down because the law of gravity is constantly working. In the same way, law of attraction is also working at all times.
Law of attraction is the force through which our thoughts and emotions turn into our life experience.
In other words, it is the law of cause and effect. In this equation your thoughts are the cause, and everything that happens on the outside is the effect.
What you choose to think and focus on, will determine what people, things, and situations you will come across.
So this brings us to tip #1.
Tip #1: Watch your focus.
Whatever you focus on will grow stronger, whatever you focus on, you will get more of.
So doesn’t it make sense to focus more on the positive side of our lives and what we hope to achieve? Yet most people spend most of their time focusing only on what didn’t go right in their lives and everything that they hate about their day.
To become better at watching your focus, you have to become the observer of your thoughts and notice which thoughts you generally tend to focus on.
This will be tough in the beginning because our minds are quite turbulent and it’s often hard to catch ourselves within thought.
But every time that you bring your thoughts into your conscious presence, you will learn more about your mind and through that knowledge, you will gain stronger control over it.
Tip #2: Visualize the life you want to live for at least 15 minutes a day.
Most people fail to get the results that they want because they have no clear goals or picture in their mind of what they actually want out of life.
Generally people know what they do not want but they don’t know what they do want.
Your mind is designed to move you towards the point of your focus. If you want to go in a particular direction, you need to point your subconscious mind towards it.
If you just have a vague picture of what you want, then you will continue to get vague results. This is what happens to most people.
So to avoid that, visualize your ideal life for at least 15 minutes a day or preferably more. This is not the same as day dreaming because you are actually sculpting a detailed image in your mind of what you want rather than just going with the flow.
Make the image real for you. Feel what it feels like to live in your ideal life. Watch it from the 1st person perspective and add more details to the image each time you visualize.
Tip #3: Learn to detach yourself from situations.
No matter how hard you try to be peaceful and calm and work towards your goals, random daily irritating situations will always come up. They could be anything but they will demand your attention.
But because you must control what you focus on, your attention is worth everything and you have to protect it from things that are pointing it towards the negative direction.
So for example, when temporary irritations come up in life, you have to remain detached and not get too emotionally involved in them otherwise you are going to lose control of your thoughts and focus.
Next time something irritating comes up, realize that it is temporary. And no matter how bad it is, It will pass and you WILL be okay.
With this knowledge, you can move on and remain emotionally detached. Don’t let it control you.
Tip #4: Start and end your day with positive thoughts.
The beginning and end of your day are super important. These are the two times when your conscious mind is in a restful state. Because of this you have the opportunity to heavily direct your subconscious mind in the right direction.
So, start and end your day with gratitude by going over all the things that you are grateful for in life. Also at night, relive all the small amazing moments you had throughout your day. This will condition your mind to become more positive over time.
And take the opportunity to visualize and direct the subconscious mind in the direction you want to go by using affirmations. You can get my free “Most Powerful Affirmations” Worksheet at the end of this article or in the sidebar.
Lastly, the state that you go to sleep in will determine the state that you wake up in. And the state that you wake up in will determine how the entire rest of your day will go. So go to sleep and wake up in a positive state to make your life a whole lot easier.
Tip #5: Expose yourself to positive media and surround yourself with positive people who are more successful than you.
You might be unaware of how much of your thoughts are shaped and influenced by the things you watch and read.
Especially today in the information age and with all the social media platforms, your mind is always being influenced by countless brands and movements.
To make sure you are not being negatively impacted by this, watch things that help you rather than waste your time and provoke negative emotions within you.
So for example, reduce your consumption of the news and things with drama and conflict. Instead, start following motivational accounts on Instagram and twitter, watch more ted talks, and read more self help books, etc.
And last but definitely not least, spend more time with people who influence you in a positive way. It is true, you are the sum of the five people you spend the most time with.
So find people who are more positive than you and are more successful than you, and spend as much time as you can with them. You will naturally be influenced to level up in life.
