Learn To Let Go – A Quick Reminder
Resisting temptation is the true test of emotion.
Emotional hurt is difficult. When things don’t go as planned, when circumstances take a turn onto the negative side, that is when we get tested the most.
You can be in a state of bliss one day and despair the next. That is when we get tested most.
When the people who we let closest to us betray our trust, that is when we get tested the most.
The way to successfully diminish temptation to cling onto the people/places/situations/things that hurt us, is to let go of what has already happened.
Here are a few reminders that will help you let go of the past.
Life continually refreshes itself and in order to experience the new, you have to learn to detach yourself from the old.
Clinging onto the old will only keep you in the past. It will only cause the past to repeat itself.
In order to create a different future, a better future, a new season of fresh experiences, people, and things, detach yourself from the past, and establish yourself completely in the present.
If you continue to dwell in your unpleasant past, you will attract more similar experiences in the future.
Let go of that person, that concept, that limiting belief, that object, that is holding you back – whatever it may be.
You can always wish for things to be better in the future, but you cannot continue to struggle in the present because it is tough to build a pleasant future when in a place of lack.
I wanted to write this brief post because I see this happening very often.
People dwell in their unpleasant past and waste their mental energy by attracting more of the same in the future.
I hope this post serves as a reminder that you cannot attract abundance from a place of lack.
You cannot attract a pleasant future while dwelling in pain of the past.
